Aug blog hop

Hi Everyone,  Welcome to our monthly Blog Hop.  Look for the highlighted name at the bottom of each post and click on it until you make it back to where you started.  Every month we hope to inspire you to create beautiful handmade paper crafts.  Enjoy!

This month I want to share some old and new,( just a peek) We will be retiring a lot of products at the end of August, so don't hestitate grab them now before they are gone,

This card is from the set "Where Happiness Blooms" on page 108 in our current catalog.  This set comes with two die cuts to make this very easy.  First you stamp the watering can, then you stamp the leaves and then the flowers.  I used the zip strip and blue paper from "True Love"  I also used the stitched heart and stitched frame. I accented the tulips with a shimmer brush.  Mini sparkles for some bling.

This card is a sneak peek at the new paper, embossing folder and ribbon, available in Sept.  The words were from the August Stamp of the Month.

Now it's time to hop to the other Joyce in this group and see what she has created.  Happy hopping.

Keep hopping until you get back here, if you get lost here are the links:

May Stamp of the month

When I cut our this lace doily, I wanted the center cut out to give a window effect. So I used the thin cut circle that fit right inside the holes.  Sweet girl paper and peach cardstock was used.  This was one of the cards we made at the Spring Fling.

This month I would like to share with you a new card idea with a floating window inside.  I used our new embossing folder and the Sweet Birthday from the clearence section of the Business website

I will be teaching this at the Oaks Expo this weekend. (See coupon below on my last post) and at my Tuesday class and Cricut class.  I have an Easter version of this card.  I don't want to spoil all the fun for my class members.
If you look close you will see a floating half circle that pops up when you open the card.  There are so many things you can put on there.

I will be doing a video showing how to make this card next week for my FB vip group.   Write a comment down below, if you would like to be part of that group.

Hope you enjoyed my post and now it's time to hop to the very talented friend, Krista....Krista's blog.

January 2019 Blog hop

Welcome to the 2019 Joyful Stars Blog Hop

The first hop of the year!!!Welcome 2019    Just look for the highlighted name at the bottom of this post and click on it, you will be taken to the next creative, talented artist in this group.  Follow the blogs until you get back to where you started and enjoy.

I would like to share with you a waterfall card that I made using the  Heart Happy special paper. To see more or this special paper, stamp and compliments look up at the top of my blog or go to CTMH website.
I used the stickers for this card CC2192  $3.95  Made this so easy.   With plenty of stickers left for other projects.
The paper is great for any Valentine project, such as scrapbooking, cards, treat boxes, tags, etc.

I used the small stitched heart for the bottom heart to pull the card open.

This special is available until Feb 28 or until supplies last.   It also comes in kits, save money when you buy everything together. You can get the kit with a matching stamp set and paper, stickers and much more. CC2196

Now it's time to hop over to Andrea's blog to see what she has created.  ( If you need the directions for the card, see below. )

This is easy to make .... start out with a card base of 2 layers  4x 5/14  3 3/4 x 5
Cut a strip 2 x 9   and score it  at 2, 2 1/2, 3 1/4, 4"
Cut a strip that is 3/4" x 4 1/4 and top that with a 1/2" pc or Shimmer trim or paper.
Place the strip about 1" from the bottom, just fasten it on either side, I like to staple it.  Don't glue the middle.
Cut 4 pcs of white cs 1 3/4" square.  Place the first square on the 2" square and glue.  place the next square on the 1/2" scored section, over top of the 2"square.  Continue until all four sqaures are in place.
Place the long section of the scored strip under the 3/4" strip. Glue the bottom of the 2" square to the 3/4" strip. That is the only thing that holds the waterfall strip in place.  Glue the heart at the bottom to help pull the strip down.
