June blog hop

Welcome to the Joyful Stars June  blog hop.  Every month we share with you what we have been making using Close to My Heart products.  We have a lot of new products, so I'm excited to see what everyone has to share.  So look for the highlighted name at the bottom of each post and hop to the next blog.

This month has been busy with birthdays, confirmation and graduation.  I'm so proud of the oldest grand daughter, who just graduated from Boyertown High School.  I made her this card using the Cricut, graduation stamps and red and black cardstock.

This is another Z fold card
Measurement are 4x11" and a 1" strip 11"
Score at 2 3/4 and 5 1/2"  on both pieces
Glue the strip with  the short section on the right side.

Here it is part way open

Here's another one I did in gold.

Thank you for stopping by, now hop to Michelle's blog and see what she has created

May blog hop

Welcome to our monthly Joyful Stars blog hop.  Enjoy the beautiful artwork from the other consultants, when you get to the bottom of each post look for the highlighted name and click on it.
May is National Scrapbooking month. I wanted to share with you a Z Fold card that we made in class today.  I used a retired Mother's day mini stamp. I cut the shape out using the Art Philosophy, stamped it with Thistle and sponged it with Topiary . The gold dots are one of the zip strips in the paper pack called Live Beautifully.  You are only seeing two sheets of paper, hopefully when you hop you will see more.
This card was made with the Stamp set that is made to go with the Live Beautifully paper. The rose and leaves were stamped and cut out.

This is what the card looks like opened all the way.  The measurements are 4x11"  Scored at 2 3/4 and 5 1/2"
You can see on the next picture how the card folds.  The strip is cut at 1 1/4" x 11" and scored the same as the card.  The short piece of the strip is glued to the right, close the card and glue the long pc to the front half of the card.  Stamp the strip before gluing.

There are many ways to enjoy this month's special.

Welcome to our monthly blog hop!  We love to share with you some CTMH products and hopefully inspire you to create.  Just simply enjoy everyone's blog by hopping from one blog to the next until you get back to me.  Look for the highlighted name at the bottom of each blog.  Click on it and you travel through a wonderful journey filled with lots of ideas.
Have a Blessed Easter!

Here are two cards that we made on Tuesday's class using the Cricut Artfully Send and Flower Market

This card is for my grandson's 15th birthday.  I double cut the stars and glue dotted a wire between the stars.  The gift box has washi tape on it and I completly covered the gift box with foam tape. The wire from the stars stuck on the foam.  The blue background was embossed with cascading stars and then sanded.  Got to love that glitter paper.

March blog hop

Welcome to our monthly blog hop!  We love to share with you some CTMH products and hopefully inspire you to create.  Just simply enjoy everyone's blog by hopping from one blog to the next until you get back to me.  Look for the highlighted name at the bottom of each blog.  Click on it and you travel through a wonderful journey filled with lots of ideas.

This month I decided to do a spring card, I love that the daffadils are blooming  and everything gets colorful.  The stamp set that I used is D1714 Dreamin' Big -scrapbooking.  It has the big Hello and spring and life. It also comes with four flowers that you can cut out with the Flower Market Cricut Cartridge.
I gold embossed the Hello and used our ShinHan markers to color in the flowers.  I backed the hello with rasberry cs.

I cut out lots of flowers in the 4 different shapes. I watercolored them, leaving them on the cutting mat.  I left them dry a couple of minutes and stamped them with all different colors.  The watercolor made them dull so I used our glitter brush to bring them to life.  I also added bitty sparkles to the center of each flower. I have some leftover for another project.

Hope you enjoyed this card and you will try this way of coloring in your flowers.

Now hop on over to Michelle's blog and see what she has created.

Feb Blog hop

Welcome to our monthly Joyful Stars blog hop.  We love to share and inspire, as you hop from one blog to the next, I hope you enjoy what we have to share.  Simply look for the highlighted name at the bottom of the post and click on it to hop to the next blog.   Happy Valentine's Day.
I want to share some of the cards we have been making at my Tuesday card classes.  Since we have 2 sets of Thin cut hearts, it makes it very easy to make Valentine cards. The top card is made from the Basic hearts thin cuts Z3317. There are 4 hearts in this set.

Interlocking hearts, the hearts were stamped the the Flower Market stamp set and the fern was cut with the Flower Market Cricut Cartridge.  Below is the inside of the card

This card shows Z3260 Hearts  This set gives you a thin outline and  the inside piece
and has 3 hearts in the set.
The background of this card was embossed with Happy Thoughts embossing folder. Z3249
We also cut 4 white hearts Z3317 and stacked them together with temp glue.  Stamped the hearts and layered them on black hearts cut from Art Philosphy 1/4 " larger than the thin cuts.

I hope you got some ideas and some fun things to try.  Now hop over to my friend

January Joyful Stars blog hop

WOW 2017!

Welcome to the Joyful Stars monthly blog hop!  We would like to inspire you to create using paper, inks and glue. We have so many great products to show you using Close to My Heart.  As you hop from one artist to another, may you enjoy what you see.  So look for the highlighted name at the bottom of each post and hop all the way around until you get back to here.

This month I would like to share with you another Twist and  pop card using our brand new paper called Hello Lovely.  I have the directions for this card in my Oct 2016 blog  You can also see the Seasonal Expressions and check out the four new paper packs. One of them.... Hello Lovely X7216B comes with12 sheets of double sided designs, 2 of which are pre-printed 4x6 and 3x4 picture my life cards that are fun to use with this card.  I Stamped "Thinking of You" C1605 from Happy to be Friends on the front of the card.   (It looks better in person)

Here is the inside of the card.                                                                                                                                                                              This is what the card looks like when it is fully opened up
This picture goes with the first card, but look at how it
would look great with my Best Day card.
Using more of the cards I made another
card for my best friend's birthday.

I used different stamps for the inside of this card.
Paper hug comes from True Love (Operation Smile stamp set)
Happy Birthday to You comes from B1537 Birthday Sparkles.

The grey swirls is a Picture my life card cut in half

The first card was sent to my friend Nancy, I hope she enjoyed it and can show her customers how to use these extra goodies that come with each paper pack.  Now hop over to Nancy's blog and see what this talented friend has made.
See ya next month on the 10th. Have a Blessed New Year!
