December Blog Hop

Welcome to the December Blog hop.  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.  Enjoy hopping from my blog to the next persons blog.  Look for her name highlighted at the bottom of the post.  You will jump from one to another and wind up back here.

My focus this month is Christmas gifts.  Some of the other bloggers are going to share the NEW products from the Seasonal Expressions and I'm sure you will be inspired.

I made ornaments for the tree using our new Cricut Cartridges "Artfully Sent", "Artiste" and Art Philosophy.

'The nativity was from pg 46 Artfully Sent, the star from pg 23 in Art Philosophy.  Merry Christmas was cut from pg 80 in Artiste.

I cut everything out in vinyl and placed it on the ornament.  Remember when you use vinyl to set your pressure at 3 so you don't all the way through the paper.

Now hop over to Crystal's blog and see what she created I'm sure you'll like what you see.

This is a grat stand up card that is easy to make.
You will need a 4"x12" piece of paper.  Cut a 4" piece off and fold that piece in half diagonal. Take your 8x12 piece and fold it in half.  Take the  left and right corners and fold it to the center fold, it should look like a triangle. Glue the 4x4 pc (opposite side) to the middle fold of the 8x12 pc.  Stand it up to form a tee pee.
Decorate as you please and fasten your open side with a velcro dot.  z1805 only $3.95 for 25.

Sherpherd's card

This is a real simple card, using the new Artfully Sent Cricut Cartridge for the shepherds.  I cut a 1" strip of striped paper and put a piece of aqua shimmer trim down the middle.  The words were stamped in black using 3 different sets.  D1613 or B1468 for the Joy.  C1598 for the "to the world" and D1614  Reason for the Season for the star.

November Blog Hop

Welcome to our November Blog Hop.
This is a monthly hop to get you inspired with Close to My Heart products. Enjoy the hop, this is a continuous hop and when you get back to me you know you went all the way around.

Holiday Wreath
This is a great gift idea, by adding  a picture in the center and a ribbon hanger you will want to add this to your tree.  Make it bigger and it can be a table decoration with a pillar candle or make it bigger and it can be a door decoration.  You will need  12  3x3" pcs of Snow Haven paper and one scrap piece of paper the same size.  This will make a 3" wreath.  I'm working on a video with the directions. Hopefully it will be ready in the next couple of days,

Now hop on over to Helen's blog and see what she has been creating.

foil embossing

I bumped into a technique that using heavy duty  aluminum foil and our new embossing  floral folder.  Glue foil unto cardstock, wrap the edges around to the back.  We used a brayer to smooth out the foil.  Run the foil through your cuddlebug and with the alcohol ShinHan markers color the raised area with a light touch. Place the foil on cardstock card base that matches the markers used. I used Thistle.
This would look nice with a black sentinment.

October Blog hop

Welcome to our October Blog hop, We have lots to share and you may even get a glimpse of samples featuring our NEW "Artfully Sent" Cricut cartridge.

This month I have been having lots of fun using the NEW Artfully Sent.  One of my favorite cards I made is this nativity pop-up. It goes very well with the stamp set D1614 Reason for the Season.
I used Yuletide Carol paper packet x7187B
Glitter paper  Z1830
Bling gems gold  Z2023
Liquid glass z679

Can you believe that all those shapes were cut from the Cricut?  The insert provides the pop out ledges to put your figures on.  The star was cut out of the insert and I backed it with glitter paper. Love that stuff!!! I used Basic paper fundamentals Z1939 for the black paper, notice it has a glossy pattern to it.  This paper comes in many different colors and designs on both sides. This paper cuts great on the cricut: I will be showing more ideas with this paper in my next posts.

Now hop over to my good friend BETTY  to see her wonderful entry.

Bicycle

Having some fun with the new "Artfully Sent Cricut cartridge.  One of the Icon on the Cartridge is this bicycle, it's so cool to have a bike that you can make anysize, any color.  Paper piece it by cutting it out again and you can change the fenders or seat a different color.

Wait till you see what I'm doing with the pop-up card and the deer, it can be a Christmas card or a birthday card.  So easy...................

Artfully Sent one key

                              Pop up card

This was really on black paper and looks much better in person.
Playing with our NEW Artfully Sent Cricut Cartridge
When I had Cricut club this month, I told them no homework and we made cards using Artfully Sent and just one key.  I have more to show just using one key.  So keep checking in or better yet follow my blog and you will get an email when I post and you won't miss a thing.

Here is another version of the same card, on this one we used the block of words and trimmed the edges with black shimmer trim.

The inside was cut out of orange paper mounted on a black base, which is a key on the cartridge, so you don't even have to figure out the base size.
We were cutting the spider out of black sparkle paper.  Nice accent!

September Blog hop

Welcome to the Joyful Stars blog hop.  This month is when we start to see all the pumpkins and the change  of weather. I hope you enjoy hopping from one site to the other and see what we have to share.  So if your starting here just keep clicking on the link to get to the next blog and you will wind up back here when you saw all the wonderful creations.

The  pumpkin above, I made about 2 years ago with the Cricut Artiste CTMH Cartridge.  I
cut it out and ran it through the Cuddlebug to give it that swirly texture.  I was made to hold chap stick or any other goodies.  This one is about 2 1/2 inches tall and the neat part about the Cricut is that you can make it any size you want.

SIDE STEP CARD

Here is the sidestep card that we made at the Westminster Expo, what an Extra special weekend!
I promised I would give the directions. This card was made with a new paper pack called "Confetti Wishes" The ballons, scalloped circles and banner were all cut with the Cricut. The balloon were stamped with the stamp set that came with the Cricut cartridge, also the happy birthday was in the Cricut bundle.   I will be showing a Christmas version of this card on Sat, Sept 13 at our Annual Christmas Card Extravaganza  9:30-3:30. Seats still available. Call me to reserve your seat.  610 367-0188

Start with a card base 8 1/2 x 5 1/2"
