December blog hop

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
I'm glad you could join us to hop from one blog to another. It's hard to believe this is the last one for the 2016. Some of us had the privilege to see our next Seasonal Expressions for 2017.  Four new paper packs, new thin cut bundles and new accessories. So follow us every month to see what's coming for the New Year.

This month I would like to share with you a product that will be retiring at the end of the month.  That's right, at the end of Dec my two favorite Christmas papers will be gone.  City Sidewalks X7213B and Oh Deer X7214B. I'm sharing with you City Sidewalks paper and Complements.  In each pack of paper you get 12 sheets, 2 of which are 4"x6" and 3"x4"  pre-printed cards that can be used horizontal or vertical. Total of 18....these make life easy, hopefully you will see with my examples of cards.  These can also be used in scrapbooking.

Stamp a caption.

I used the City Sidewalks Complements X7213C to add glitter and stickers.
I only used part of the complements and 5 pre-printed card, alot more creating to be had.

Now it's time to hop over the the very talented Andrea and see what she has created.

November blog hop

Welcome to our monthly blog hop.
Simply hop from one blog to the next and see what all the talented gals have created.  My share is using Flower Market Cricut cartridge and Oh Deer paper and my favorite stamp set Perfectly Pine A1191.
The card is folded back to make it look like a swing card.  I used glitter paper to cut out the words and to back the piece that is attached to the card.

On this card I used All about Gold Z3246 Fundamentals for the striped piece, this comes with 6  12x12 overlays with gold foil designs.   I fastened that piece with the shimmer trim.  The colors I used were Chocolate, Fern, Sea Glass.
I don't have a picture to show you, but when you open the card, I stamped another pine sprig and pine cone on the inside with words from the stamp set that comes with the Flower Market cartridge.

Please hop to my friend Krista's blog and be amazed at everyone's creation.
Here is the rotation in case you get lost.  Enjoy!

Christmas tree card

I am trying to make a video on how to make the all time favorite card and I can't get it to work at the moment.  If some reason this does work, this is just my practice draft.
Here are the written directions in the meantime.
Start with squares on printed paper, what I call background texture paper, in sizes
3", 2 1/2", 2" and 1 1/2"
Fold your square point to point
Open it up and fold it point to point with the other points
Flip it over
Fold it in half (now this is where the video would come in handy)
Push your finger in the center of the square and you will see how it wants to fold into a triangle
with the triangle point up, take the top left flap and fold it to the center. Do the same thing with the right flap.  Now do this to all four squares.  Stack them starting at the top with the smallest one. They will go inside half way, just glue the back of the triangle.  Add a star and a trunk if you wish.
I will add to this when I get a moment.
Hope this helps.

I used City Sidewalk paper from CTMH

October blog hop

Welcome to the Joyful Stars Blog hop for October.
You can hop from blog to blog and see all the amazing things we have been creating. Just look for the highlighted name at the end of each blog and click on it, keep going until you get back to this post.

I would like to share with you what I call a wow card, that is easier to make then you think.  If you have design space for your cricut you can get all the cuts for this card at just the push of a button.

The paper I used is from the Oh Dear paper pack  X7214B which come with 2 12x12 sheets of 4x6 and 2x3 pre-printed cards that can be used to help decorate these cards. The wreath is cut from our new Flower Market Cricut cartridge.

This is from City Sidewalks paper X7213B

The Cricut  Design Space code for this card is https://us.cricut.com/design/#/canvas/45203012     If you don't have that or use that, here are the measurements for this great wow card.
4"x11"               3 1/2"x10"            3 1/2" x8"
Fold the top one in half, this is the base of the card
Fold the center piece in half and fold the outside to center.

This is the bottom piece follow the directions

The above piece will look like this, a house with a roof.

Put glue on the roof on one side and put the point of the roof at the center fold, center the house. Put glue on the other side of the roof and close the card.
When you open the card, it will look like this.  Now take the second piece that is folded into four equal sections. Have the mountain fold in the center and lay it flat on top of the X.

Fold the flaps back and glue at the bottom left and the top right, press the flaps onto the glue.  This will give you what you see on the colored picture above .
The 4 sections can be covered using (4) 2 1/4" x 3 1/4" pieces

The color of the year, Sea Glass was used for the base layer.

Go to my website to order your 700 image Flower Market Cartridge, Sea glass paper and glitter paper.

September Blog hop

Welcome to our monthly Joyful Stars Blog hop.

We are a group of talented crafters who love to stamp and scrapbook.  You and I are in for a treat, there is so much to show you that is new.

This month I will be showing you a card that we are making on Saturday at our Annual Christmas card/crop Extravaganza.  Check back for the rest of the cards from that day.

I used cranberry and N England Ivy for the base.  The mailbox was cut from the NEW Cricut City Sidewalks Digital Collection.  Z4017  It has 30 images.
Perfectly Pine A119 was used for the pine spring and words are from Very Merry D1694.  I used black and brown marker for the post and inside of the mailbox.

Here is a close up of the mailbox.

August Joyful Stars blog hop

Welcome to Joyful Stars August blog hop. Your in for a treat!
You will get a look at some new products and probably some
products that are about to retire at the end of this month.

I would like to share with you lots of artwork.  I just couldn't decide.  The first one is a layout that I made for my Layout class that meets once a month.  I used the Magical paper and the Cricut.
Summer days is from the NEW Flower Market Close to my Heart Cricut collection.  The Ferris Wheel is from Artiste cartridge which will be retiring.  The stamp set is called Amusement park. You can't see it in the picture but I used Z3293 Shimmer brush on the top of the coaster.

The cards below are made with the New Flower Market Cricut cartridge Z3285.
New papers, new cuts and new stamps.

The card was cut at 5 1/2" and the center of the flower was stamped with the new background stamp.  The leaves should be stamped with another background stamp.  I will do that tonight with my class.

The stamp set used here is from the stamps that come with the Cricut cartridge

July Joyful Stars blog hop

photo JoyfulStarsBlogHopBadge3_zpsa824a544.jpgWelcome to the monthly Joyful Stars blog hop. We're so glad you and join us for our monthly blog.  Please follow us every month on the 10th and get inspired by all the great artwork we are creating. Don't miss next month when we can share what's new in our 2016-2017 Annual Catalog.  I'm busy working on NEW products and it was really hard for me not to show you.
The catalog goes live on August 1st with our NEW Holiday Expressions going live September 1st. You are in for a treat.  I hope this blog inspires you to create and share your paper crafting with others.

My post for this month is what I made for my team that went to convention in Florida, Disney.
With the french fry pattern from Art Philosophy, I made Mickey mouse pants to hold snacks.  Buttons and suspenders were added.  I used Design studio to make everything the right size and length.  Glitter was added to the buttons.

On the photo above I added a bookmark and a laminated name tag that Krista made for me. The bookmark, name tag and gift bag  was made using Magical paper X7209B  soon to be retired.

Enjoy the blog, here is a list of this month's blogger, so hop over to a very talented Andrea's blog and see what she has to share, keep hopping until you get back here.
