Disaster Relief Stamp set

Disaster Relief Stamp Set: Stronger Together

Clsoe to My Heart has  prepared a stamp set designed specifically to benefit those affected by disasters, such as the recent hurricanes in the United States and the wildfires throughout the US and Canada. The stamp set is titled Stronger Together and features a variety of sentiments that can be used for comfort, encouragement, and more.

This C-size set is available for purchase starting today; find it on your Consultant website using item number C1716. In order to be able to support multiple needs, we have determined that proceeds from the sale of this set will be donated to the Red Cross, which provides relief efforts to multiple disasters, and which will allocate the funds to where they are needed most. In order to maximize the donation amount,
This way all proceeds—including the amount that would normally go toward paying commissions—will be donated to the Red Cross.

We believe in the good that comes when we work together as a community. As the stamp set name states, we truly are stronger together.

September Blog hop

Welcome to the September Joyful Stars Blog hop!

We love to share our ideas and projects that we have been working on.  Thanks to Close to My Heart there is always something new.  So hop along, look for the highlighted name at the bottom of each post and click on it and hop until you get back to here.

This month I would like to share with you a pop up box card.
I made this card using Sweet baby Stamp and thin cuts.  Z3376 on page 55 in the new annual catalog.  This stamp set is not just for baby, it's make a great birthday stamp set as well.  The samples below could easily be a birthday box.
A1189 Short and Sweet stamp set for the words.

Compliments were used for the decorations.  Adventure paper was used for the flaps and liquid glass was used on the balloons.

Take a 51/2 x 8 1/2 pc of paper and score at 2,4,6,8   turn and score at 2 3/4
Take away one of the 1/2" sections. Cut the corners off the other 1/2" pcs, this will be one the bottom.  Cut top scored sections to score line.  Fold all flaps down except the back one. Put glue on the remaining 1/2" tab, glue together to form box.
Cut 2 inserts at 3 x 2 3/4  score 1/2" on each side, fold back. Put glue on 1/2" edges of the insert pcs and insert in box. Position the first glue side 1/3 into the box and close box. Do the same with the next insert about 2/3 way into the box.  Your box should lie flat to mail when your done.
Behind the pc.of flap  that did not get folded glue a 1 3/4" x 5 1/4" This is where you can write a message. The other 3 side can be layered  1 3/4" x 2 1/2"
The balloons are flying in the air by using a strips of clear acetate.

Your next hop will be to the very crafty Krista
