March blog hop

Welcome to the March Joyful Stars blog hop.
Hop from blog to blog to see all we have to share, every month we share what we have been making and hop we inspire you to create and have fun the way we do.  So look for the highlighted name at the bottom of each blog and click on it and it will take you to the next blog.

I'd like to share with you a circle side step card that we made in class on Tuesday.  I made it to fit in a A2 envelope.  The directions are at the bottom if you care to make one for that special person in your life.
Happy Easter!

.
If you have Cricut Explore here is the link:  https://us.cricut.com/design/#/canvas/37711821

Cut a 5 1/2" circle  Score at 3 1/2"  make 5 more score line in the opposite direction at 1 1/2"  2"   3"   3 1/4"  3 1/2"   Make a slit from the first score to the last score.  Take your circle and fold  it in half on the side that does not have any scores.  When you have your card folded in half, with the mountain and valley folds on the right side, trim the card.  Cut a 5" circle (cut in half)to layer on top of the card base. Cut out the notch at the step, trim and glue to the next step.

Hope you enjoyed my card and now it's time to hop over to Krista's blog .

Artbooking birthday card

This card was made with the New Cricut cartridge, Artbooking.  This  card would be good for New Year.  Change the Happy Birthday to Happy New Year and on the inside add fireworks, rockets, etc.  I love how this turned out with the matching envelope, also made with this cartridge.

Need ideas on how to use this cartridge, come to my classes.  Next class Tuesday Jan 6. at 1pm or 7pm
Enjoy New Year's Eve and be safe. Looking forward to 2015

June blog hop

Welcome to the monthly Joyful Stars blog hop.  Hop from one blog to the next and see what this talented group of consultants have to show you. When you get back to me you know you went all the way around.  We hope you stop by every month to visit.

I decided to share with you 4 page layouts that we created in my last scrapbooking layout class.  We did stamping and Cricut cutting.  On the cupcake, the sprinkles were small pieces of paper from my shredder glued on.  Sorry the pictures on these birthday layouts picked up the lights from above.

Notice how we stamped on the letters and on the red strip in the corners.

"Just us girls" was made using Skylark paper and of course the Cricut. I added resin accessories, baker's twine and aqua dots.

This is a close up of the Skylark resin assortment that I added to the page.

Joy Christmas card

Joy card
This card features September stamp of the month.  The words were stamped with Slate grey and then stamped again with cranberry red at just the word Joy.  Red shimmer tape was placed over the words  HO HO HO.  That was mounted on a piece of frosted B&T paper.  A 1"x5" strip of cranberry red paper was scalloped using our new scallop punch.  Christmas border, pondorosa pine  was cut with the new "Artbooking" Cricit cartridge.  I went into the craft room and made it 3" wide.  The card base was white daisy cardstock.  If you want the file for this or other information, just let me know.

Card #2 and #3 made at the Christmas card Extravaganza
these are two of the quick card that we made, thanks to the Cricut we can cut out
words, flowers and overlays and make quick cards.
Noel was cut at 1" pg 79 Artiste cartridge.  Pointsettia was cut at 1 1/2" red and green page 80.
The top layer 1 1/4" red.

The overlay snowflake was cut with the new Artbooking Cricut cartridge, page 73 shift real dial size.  I changed the settings to 70mm so the overlay would fit exactly on the card.  Add a sparkle and some shimmer trim and the words. Very easy.....check back tomorrow for more cards.

Extrav Christmas card #1

Card #1
I cut the deer out with Artbooking at 2 1/2", the trees and words  were from Frosted Card Workshop on the go. Prisma glitter was added to the snow that was sponged with crystal glue.

We had a great day at our Annual Christmas Card Extravaganza!
Thanks to all consultants, excellent team work and to our great guests, you made our day so special.
Here are the raffle items that I made using the Cricut. The Happy Thanksgiving plate was made by using Artbooking and the Cricut craft room.  I welded the words together and cut them out with our glitter paper.
You can't see on the Trick or Treat plate that I used the black glitter paper for the house and fence.  The bats were cut with black vinyl.

One of my favorite cuts with the Artbooking cartridge is the deer. This can be personalized, "The Houcks"
I used the deer on one of the cards I made. Watch for pictures of all the cards we made today,  Now I need to get some rest and find my bag of cards that we all made.  So proud of my team!

Joyful Stars September Blog hop

Welcome to the September Joyful Stars blog hop. Just hop from blog to blog and check out the great projects everyone has made.

I decided to show you examples of the Stitch Guide
and foam mat.  Z1852 and Z1859  15 inches long.
Notice the stitching across the top
and on either side of the give thanks
The stamp set is Happy Autumn D1550, I will be using this set at Tuesday's class. Another item I used was the bronze shimmer trim, new to this catalog.  Z1849
Sorry, the examples don't show up to well, you can make kinds of different shapes using the piercing tool and the stitch guide.

Another cut from Artbooking Cricut cartridge is this tree.  You can make this into a 12x12 album or a card of any size.  The neat part of this you can cut the tree with the frame and cut just the tree and you will have leaves to put in the tree.  The paper I used is Sarita, using both sides. X7171B

Now hop over to Nickie's blog and see what she created.

Thursday was a free workshop we did some creating using the September Special triple stamp set.
We also discovered how to use the Cricut Craft room to make this card in layers. This way you can cut layers and simply glue them together.  Thanks to Tracy Joy for getting me started.  We also went over Studio J and how to make scrapbooking faster, simpler and easier. If you need me to help you learn Cricut, Studio J or Cricut Craft room, just let me know.
This is a list of sentiments found in the New Artbooking Cricut cartridge. Notice the "hello" on the card.

Artbooking layout

I can't wait to show you my layout using the NEW "Artbooking" Cricut cartridge. This is one of 15 layouts that you cut using one key and one size.  I set my size at 11" and everything that I wanted to cut to go with this page was cut at 11".  All the words and objects are linked so that you don't have to guess what size goes with the layout.  Everything you see was cut with the Cricut.
The picture frame is scalloped, using the same key.  What a time saver.
