Joyful stars Feb post

Hello everyone,    I regret to inform you that our monthly blog hop will be ending,  I will be posting on the 9th every month and I hope you will continue to follow me.  I have been with Close to my heart for 26 years and I still get excited with new products and new ways to use those products,

Today I would like to share with you my favorite stamp set in the Jan/Feb catalog. z3917 Page 34.   I also like a lot of other things and our paper is best if seen in person.

The paper from this set is the mix-in papers,  always a good compliment to any of the featured paper packs,  I added some iridescent confetti to the sky on the one above.  On the one below I just put a white glitter snowflake in his hand. The scallop is a zip strip from the same paper pack.  X9023

Quick easy card.........

I think this made the cutest Anniversary card for my daughter and husband (8 yrs,)

Sorry the picture is not that good, but see how cute they are!

I hope you enjoyed this artwork and if you want to see live videos on my facebook private group, just go to my private FB page @ Joyce Houck Close To My Heart and ask to join.  You can also email me at StampN4Joy@aol.com.

Blessings,
Joyce

Welcome to our monthly Joyful Stars blog hop.  We love to share with you our creations and hope to inspire you to create your own creations.  Look at the bottom of each blog for the highlighted name to hop to the next blog and keep hopping until you get back here.

This month, as most month's I want to share a few things that I have been working on.
Christmas Gnomes are not just for Christmas. I made this gnome for a birthday card, replaced the star on the end of the hat with a heart.  The white glitter paper was colored with the tri-blend mark that I used for the hat

Some samples of the Distress Oxide inks. The slim card at the top was made using The Jubilee Crew C1879 or with thin cuts Z3901 page 29 The snow mounds were made with Fancy borders Z3682 page 60 Core catalog. Merry Christmas is from the Seasonal borders D1976 Page 35 Core catalog.
The bottom left card was made with Spruced up Scrapbooking D1902 Jan/Feb 2020 (still available)
The right card Gnome for Christmas D1982 or with thin cuts Z3902  The Distress Oxide inks were peacock feathers and chipped sapphire.

Now it's time to hop to my friend Nancy's blog and see her beautiful artwork.

October blog hop

Welcome to our monthly Joyful Stars blog hop.  Every month we share with you what we have been working on.  So at the end of each blog, look for the highlighted name and click on it to hop to the next blog.  You will get back to this blog and we hope we have inspired you to create your own projects.

This month I want to show you some of the cards I made using our NEW Distress Oxide inks.  The possibilities are endless.  There are many techniques and I hope to show them on my future videos on my FB page.

The two cards on the left are using the October stamp of the month.

Distress Oxide ink make the backgrounds very bright.  Top right cards is a shaker card, yes we now have heart shape shaker die cuts and foam, also star shapes.

This card is not one of the four cards, I black embossed the Oct SOM heart and filled it in with Distress Oxide inks, the background was embossed in white and sponged with peacock feathers.

Hope you enjoyed these cards, have blessed month.

Now it's time to go to my friend Betty's blog, scrapbookgirl2.blogspot.com can't wait to see what she is working on.

Oct blog hop

Joyful Stars October blog hop

Welcome  to our monthly blog hop.  You will hop from one blog to another until you get back here.  There is a list of bloggers at the end of this post in case you get  lost.  So look for the highlighted name at the bottom of each post and click on it and hop to the next post.  Enjoy!

Fall is in the air and it's time to enjoy the beauty of the changing leaves and everything that goes with Autumn.  I would like to share with you what I have been making.  Most months it's hard to  pick just one and the same goes for this month.

I made this on a 8x8 canvas, I watercolored the canvas first and cut out the rest of it with our new Crisut Cartridge called "Complete Creativity"  The neat part about this is that you can size it any way you want and change colors.  The picture that comes with the design has the leaves in white  double layers.
Here is a sneak peak of two new Christmas stamps and dies that will be available on Oct. 15th

Thanks for stopping by.

Remember the York Stamp Expo is this weekend, Fri and Sat 9-5pm See post below for more info.

Aug blog hop

Hi Everyone,  Welcome to our monthly Blog Hop.  Look for the highlighted name at the bottom of each post and click on it until you make it back to where you started.  Every month we hope to inspire you to create beautiful handmade paper crafts.  Enjoy!

This month I want to share some old and new,( just a peek) We will be retiring a lot of products at the end of August, so don't hestitate grab them now before they are gone,

This card is from the set "Where Happiness Blooms" on page 108 in our current catalog.  This set comes with two die cuts to make this very easy.  First you stamp the watering can, then you stamp the leaves and then the flowers.  I used the zip strip and blue paper from "True Love"  I also used the stitched heart and stitched frame. I accented the tulips with a shimmer brush.  Mini sparkles for some bling.

This card is a sneak peek at the new paper, embossing folder and ribbon, available in Sept.  The words were from the August Stamp of the Month.

Now it's time to hop to the other Joyce in this group and see what she has created.  Happy hopping.

Keep hopping until you get back here, if you get lost here are the links:

Today I would like to share with you one of our new paper collections called "True Love"  Z7244b on page 28.  I also used the stamp set on page 87 called "Thank you Badge" The banner was cut from Cricut Artistry cartridge.  Finished it off with some shimmer tape.

The second card was made with Sweet girl paper Z7246b on page 18, our new embossing folder called Flower garden on page 127.
The thin cut lace border was used to make the trim. Ps When I made this card last week this set was available from the last catalog, now it's gone.  So if you see anything you want grab before it's gone.
