Let it snow!

This was one of our Cricut club projects, it can be a very simple card or it can be a very detailed card.  We used glacier paper and backed the snowflakes with white sparkle paper. (picture doesn't do it justice) We also traced another snowman to back our snowman so we could paper piece the nose and the scarf. The hat we colored in with marker and as well as the eyes, mouth and buttons.
This swing card can be found on the Artfully Sent Cricut cartridge. It was cut at 7".  White shimmer trim was added to the side with some white pines paper.  Snowflakes were added to embellish.

snowman layout

Who would know that we WOULD be snowed in this weekend!

We made this layout at our Scrapbooking club night.  Inspired by LeeAnn Greff.
We white embossed snowflakes on the background. Made the snowman using a 3" circle for the head and a 4" rectangle the we rounded off at the neck.  The eyes were 1/2" black with a touch of wht pen for highlights.  Three buttons, a nose and a scarf.  Some 3-D snowflakes were cut from Cricut.  The bottom border was a 4x12 piece of White daisy ripped down the middle to make snow banks.  All the photo wells were edged in light blue.

Tuesday's 1-19 class cards

Here are the cards we made from the January Stamp of the month at Tuesday's class. This stamp set can be used for some many occasions.

Belt buckle card, sorry the picture is blurry. I do have the slot cuts on a Design Space file.

I watercolored the colors on a sheet of paper and stamped it with Momento black ink.

I was asked to post the class cards  for some of my snow birds.

I have a layout to post tomorrow that really says it all for us on the East coast.  I will be easy to put pictures on the pages.

Band aids cards

One of my favorite new sets in the New Expressions is with a band aid and lots of great sayings.  The background color is the same for both cards, I don't know why they came up different.  I used the embossing folder just part way down and added the words.  I cut lots of band aids out using the CTMH Artistry cartridge at 3/4" that way whenever I need a get well card my band aids are cut and stored in the stamp set envelope.

This card I used the zip strip from a retired paper and barn red ink ( also, retired)

Tuesday's class

These cards were made using the January Stamp of the month. Inspired by Kathy Burrows.  This set had lots of possibilities.  The favorite words on Tuesday was "thinking of you". So many times we could be sending out cards just to let someone know they are in our thoughts.  Who doesn't love getting (RAC) random acts of kindness cards.
This card uses fern ink and the sprig from the Stamp of the month.  S1513. Fern cs for the  base cut at 4 1/4 x 11" (cropped out) black 4x 5 1/4"  and col. white 3 3/4 x 5" to stamp on.  Very fast and simple. Almost forgot added fern twine as an accent.  Words are from the set also.

This card was stamps in slate and colored in with colored pencils.  We scribbled a small circle of yellow on scrap paper and picked it up with a waterbrush to add accents to the end of the sprigs.  The large rose was popped.  The words were from "Say it all" stamp set.  Silver foil tape was added under the Get well soon.

This card was made by embossing silver for the flower, the sprigs and the words.  We also added silver around the edge of the white stamping piece.  The rose was popped.

Check back tomorrow when I  show the two band aid cards I made.

Tuesday's class

On Tuesday we made cards for the new Expressions, featuring Charlotte paper.
We had fun using the new Thin cuts, gold puffies, paper and blk and gold ribbon.  These are were made by Eileen.  We combined 3 stamp sets for the sentiments that we wanted.
The last card Eileen chose to let it blank, the beauty of this paper, this card could turn into a birthday, get well, thinking of you, thank you, sympathy or best wishes.
Some snow birds are anxious to see these cards, so if you want any of products we used......you can find them on my website  Joyce.CTMH.com.  or contact me.
Miss you guys!!!
