September Blog hop
We love to share our ideas and projects that we have been working on. Thanks to Close to My Heart there is always something new. So hop along, look for the highlighted name at the bottom of each post and click on it and hop until you get back to here.
This month I would like to share with you a pop up box card.
I made this card using Sweet baby Stamp and thin cuts. Z3376 on page 55 in the new annual catalog. This stamp set is not just for baby, it's make a great birthday stamp set as well. The samples below could easily be a birthday box.
Compliments were used for the decorations. Adventure paper was used for the flaps and liquid glass was used on the balloons.
Take a 51/2 x 8 1/2 pc of paper and score at 2,4,6,8 turn and score at 2 3/4
Take away one of the 1/2" sections. Cut the corners off the other 1/2" pcs, this will be one the bottom. Cut top scored sections to score line. Fold all flaps down except the back one. Put glue on the remaining 1/2" tab, glue together to form box.
Cut 2 inserts at 3 x 2 3/4 score 1/2" on each side, fold back. Put glue on 1/2" edges of the insert pcs and insert in box. Position the first glue side 1/3 into the box and close box. Do the same with the next insert about 2/3 way into the box. Your box should lie flat to mail when your done.
Behind the pc.of flap that did not get folded glue a 1 3/4" x 5 1/4" This is where you can write a message. The other 3 side can be layered 1 3/4" x 2 1/2"
The balloons are flying in the air by using a strips of clear acetate.
