This month I would like to share with you a cascading card I made for our friends 50th Wedding Anniversary. 

I used White daisy cardstock and gold for the "50".  I cut two pcs of 5 1/2 x 12 on an angle. Directions are below.

Directions:  Cut 2--- 12" pcs of cardstock at 5 1/2" on one end and 2 1/2" on the other end. One side will be the straight edge.  Score at 2", 4" 8" 10"  on the 6" just make a pencil mark. At the 5 1/2" end  Find the center 2 3/4" and at the other end the center will be 1 1/4" , draw a pencil line down  of the long strip, center.. On one strip cut score line at 2" 10" to the center pencil line.  On the other strip, cut opposite (from the other side) at 2" 10"   At the 6"  mark cut to center pencil mark on the opposite side. So one pc you would cut from the top  at 2" 10" to center line and on the other strip you would cut from the bottom at 2" and 10".  Then slide the 2 pcs together with the tallest at the back.  

You can make this for any occasion and use any Cricut cuts.  These are the cuts I used:

Here is another card made at the Spring Fling designed by Krista
The words were from our new Washi tape. She also used shimmer trim and glitter paper. The flowers were cut with the cricut and rolled, the chevron strip was cut out using  our Chevron border punch Z1998. Blossom paper was used.

fabulous day card

This is another card made at the Spring Fling. It was designed by Krista and made by Debi.  The stamp set is from the Seasonal Expressions 2 and it is the Operation Smile set. D1653  Everytime someone buys this set $3 goes to Operation Smile.  The background was embossed with one of our embossing folders.   

Help with a goal!

Close to my Heart has just given us a fantastic opportunity.....they are giving a trip for two to Australia to one lucky person who attends Convention.  I am going to receive my 20th year award this year and I want to say:

1. I couldn’t do this without YOU….and I am so blessed & amazed once again of your continued support!!  I am so THANKFUL for MANY of you that I now call friends.  We most likely wouldn’t have met if I hadn’t been a part of CTMH…what a Blessing!!!

I chose to share with you  this month a cascading heart card. I made this card for my Mother, I hope she likes it. Happy Mother's Day MOM!

This could be a great happy birthday card or valentine's day card.

 I had so much fun making the above card, I decided to make a card for my Grand-daughter's 11th birthday. I used Confetti wishes compliments.

Heart Cascading card
.

Cut white cs 4x11" and score at 2 3/4  5 1/2   turn and put a mark at the center 2"  longest section

Cut white cs 3 1/2 x 8 score at   2"     4"        turn and put a mark at the center 1 3/4" longest section 

Cu twhite cs  3x6"      score at   1 1/2 x 3"     turn and put a mark at the center  1 1/2" longest section

Cut B&T paper 4x3"   4 x 1 1/2"  4 x 1" 

Cut colored cs for the front 4x3" (in this case Pear)

Pg 51 Accent 2 SHIFT Hearts (A Key)  

Cut hearts at   4"   3 1/2"   3"     2"  in white cs

Cut hearts at   3 3/4"  3 1/4"  2 3/4"  using B&T paper  (in this card Blossom)

Take the scored three white  pieces and bend the short flap front and place largest heart on the 

largest flap, glue just the bottom and cut off the side pcs so  you just see the shape of the heart.

Do this on all three.  Start placing them together using the center mark.  Glue on the B&T paper in between 

hearts.  Stamp the 2" heart and 3-D it at the bottom center.  All the other hearts should stand up behind it. 

Decorate the front anyway you want

Cut the bottom of the paper where the heart gets glued.  

5 min quickie card

This was a card that everyone could make when they are extra time on Sat at our Spring Fling.

The paper is called Taste of Summer and is only available the month of May. You can get this, which has 6 different patterns and 2 of each pattern.  One side of the paper has fruit and the other side had a color tone on tone.  The zip strips are also fun, see the row of strawberries.  

The word set is new and one of those  must have sets . Finding the words D1646 found in the Seasonal Expressions catalog.  The strawberry stamped on the tag is from the stamp set that goes with the paper.

Jackson dizzy card

 I will be sharing cards that we made at our Special Spring Fling Cards and Crop day this past Sat.

It was the best day ever and if you were there please leave a comment on one of these posts to make people very sad they weren't there.  LOL

This card features Jackson paper from the Expression 2 mini catalog and the Stamp set called Dizzy circle  C1610s, remember the spiral graph that we had?  We used Juniper, cocoa, barn red inks and paper.  The words: for you, hello, HAPPY, JOY, yay! and  celebrate come with the set.  

For someone special

No Class today!  I'm busy getting ready for our Spring Fling this Saturday, May 2nd 

Here is another card we made in class last week, simply stamp A1171" A little note" and  color a 3x3" White daisy paper with the alcohol markers, add your sentiment,"Finding the words" D1646 dry emboss with diamond folder. Z3020 

This stamp set also comes with words Just a Little Note and Thanks and it's only $6.95.

Shower flower

Another new stamp set from Expressions 2 is called Shower Flower C1612.  We made this card in class last Tuesday, we took a 2" ps of White daisy cardstock and stamped the flowers on the strip.
We scalloped the top edge and backed it with purple glitter paper and bottomed it with green glitter paper.  Using "Finding the words" D1646 we stamped the sentiment.  The inks we used was Thistle, gypsy, pear first and second generation.  

butterfly card

For anyone who loves butterflies, this is the card to send.  This was made using the Cricut CTMH Artbooking pg 62 Icon 

We used the April Stamp of the month for the sentiment and the arrow was from the Operation smile set from Expressions 1.
Blossom paper from the new Expression 2 and clear sparkles were colored in with alcohol markers.  The sorbet paper was sanded on the edges and where we placed the sentiment.  

balloon card

Simple card using Paper Fundamentals. This is one of the cards we made at class on Tuesday,  This paper has a design on one side and a glossy print on the other side.  The balloon was popped up with 3-D tape and the string was held in place a drop of Liquid glass.

Here is a chick I made using the Cricut and the cuddle bug machine.  This is a circle card with the hinge at the top.  We made this card at above and beyond club.  

New from Expressions 2 mini catalog!!!   I want to share with you our new Blossom paper and a new card that is called Easel Gate fold card.  This card will impress anyone who is lucky enough to receive it.  The card opens up with a center fold, then you see the inside with the Happy Birthday greetings and then you lift that piece up and place it against the flower and it stands up to say "have a lovely day"

Easter glass blocks

I made some glass blocks for the Easter Season using Close to My Heart Cricut and vinyl.
