Cricut class

This month's Cricut class had them cut out 3 hearts, 3 bows and we made a quick card.
This card was a 5x5 card with four layers, 5 if you count the "love you" cut out on the top.

The happy was cut out with Art Philosophy cartridge.  We took nail polish with glitter and painted the letters. The background was made with our new alcohol markers.  Birthday was stamped in black.

circles

Oh what to do with all those scrap pieces of paper.  I had a large box of cut paper and I decided to cut the extra pieces
into circles.  2" or smaller will do.  Take 10 circles and mount them on a base that has a brad through the center, add a coffee
stirrer or lollipop stick  and you have a great card.

Iris folding, Tues class

I discovered this frog cut out from our new cartridge "Artfully Sent" page 26 and by teaming him up with the January Stamp of the month, this makes a cute card.  Using it for Valentines Day or a birthday and you have a fun card .  Putting the springs under his eyes really  makes it fun.

This is the positive cut out from hot air balloon.
We covered it with washy tape, dry embossed the
background and mounted it to the card.
This card was made with envelopes, check out the
inside of business envelopes and you will see all different
patterns and colors.

These cuts were done on the Cricut, to match the pattern and the shape from the cartridge.

background.

We did one more card, I will post it on my next post.

Jan 2015 blog hop

Happy New Year Everyone, Welcome to our monthly blog hop, our hope is to inspire you to make your own creations.
I am learning how to use the NEW Explore Cricut machine. I want to share how you can take a card from your CTMH Cricut cartridge and completely change it to suit your needs.

This card was made the way "Artfully Sent" meant it to be
The swing card on page 25 in the "Artfully Sent" cuts out a separate Happy Birthday that you glue onto the swing part of the card.

This card was cut out right on the card and I removed the fancy base.  New items on this card are Heartstrings paper, white shimmer trim and puffy stickers.

This is the inside of the card, the box is a scene card on page 50.  This is what started me on this project.  The original cut has a santa hat coming out of the box. I was able to remove that and I cut out balloons  to have them coming out of the box. The white balloons could have the person's age on it.
This card was made using the Explore.

I decided to add a cupcake to the top of the card. With the Explore I brought the three cupcakes onto the screen and placed  one on top of the card until I was happy with the size.  I cut these with  our new Heartstrings paper.  Love it!
This is the page you can find the swing card.  If I can figure out how to share the file, I would be happy to do that.

Now hop on over to Krista's blog and see what wonderful things she has created.

December Blog Hop

Welcome to the December Blog hop.  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.  Enjoy hopping from my blog to the next persons blog.  Look for her name highlighted at the bottom of the post.  You will jump from one to another and wind up back here.

My focus this month is Christmas gifts.  Some of the other bloggers are going to share the NEW products from the Seasonal Expressions and I'm sure you will be inspired.

I made ornaments for the tree using our new Cricut Cartridges "Artfully Sent", "Artiste" and Art Philosophy.

'The nativity was from pg 46 Artfully Sent, the star from pg 23 in Art Philosophy.  Merry Christmas was cut from pg 80 in Artiste.

I cut everything out in vinyl and placed it on the ornament.  Remember when you use vinyl to set your pressure at 3 so you don't all the way through the paper.

Now hop over to Crystal's blog and see what she created I'm sure you'll like what you see.

This is a grat stand up card that is easy to make.
You will need a 4"x12" piece of paper.  Cut a 4" piece off and fold that piece in half diagonal. Glue the 4x4 pc (opposite side) to the middle fold of the 8x12 pc.  Stand it up to form a tee pee.

November Blog Hop

Welcome to our November Blog Hop.
This is a monthly hop to get you inspired with Close to My Heart products. Enjoy the hop, this is a continuous hop and when you get back to me you know you went all the way around.

Holiday Wreath
This is a great gift idea, by adding  a picture in the center and a ribbon hanger you will want to add this to your tree.  Make it bigger and it can be a table decoration with a pillar candle or make it bigger and it can be a door decoration.  You will need  12  3x3" pcs of Snow Haven paper and one scrap piece of paper the same size.  This will make a 3" wreath.  I'm working on a video with the directions. Hopefully it will be ready in the next couple of days,

Now hop on over to Helen's blog and see what she has been creating.
