May Blog hop

Welcome to May Joyful Stars Blog Hop!

Happy Mother's Day!

This month we have a new catalog to share with you and that means new stamps and accessories.

To do the hop, simply look for the Highlighted name at the bottom of each post and keep hopping until you get back here.

I wanted to share with you my favorites. First up is the Hello Lady bug B1703 on page 44 of the
May - June catalog. To cut the Ladybug you can get the Ladybug Shaker Window Thin Cuts Z3710.
I made mine without the shaker. The wings are using the Blue skies cardstock on page 42.
Notice the shine, the paper has a glossy UV coated pattern.  The dots were stamped and colored with the black shimmer brush.

Second card was made with the Pinwheel Thin cuts CC5204. I used a coffee stirrer for the stem. I used the mix-in paper from last catalog and the diamond paper from Stitched Together X7257S.

The words are from the stamp of the month Time to Celebrate S2005

This pin wheel is using paper from Stitched Together.  and the Stamp of the month.

This card was made for my dear mother using another favorite A Million Little Things D1925.
I also used May Stamp of the month.

Here is a close up of the layered flower.
Hope everyone has a great mother's day!

  1. I did not realize the shimmer brush would work on the Blue Skies paper. Looks great. I absolutely love the rose card for your Mom. It is so pretty and elegant. She will love it.

  3. Fabulous cards! I love how you stamped the sentiment as the background on the rose card and how you layered the rose. The ladybug card just made me smile. Thanks for inspiring me today.

  5. Due to work constraints I did not immediately look at the hop last month, so glad I am revisiting now. All the cards are fabulous, but the rose card is just gorgeous!
